The National Tree is The Mango Tree

Mango is the national fruit of three countries.  India, Pakistan, Philippines.  And in our country?  National tree!  No other country in the world has given mango tree the status of a national tree.  As per the decision of the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on November 15, 2010, mango tree was declared as the national tree.  There are several reasons why the mango tree was declared as a national tree.

*Mango grows easily all over the country.

*There is talk of mango tree in our national anthem.  ‘O Ma Fagune, your mango forest is crazy about the smell ...’

* During the great language movement, a historic decision-making gathering was held at the Amtala of Dhaka University.

*On 16 April 1971, the Mujibnagar government of independent Bangladesh was formed at Amrakan in Vaidyanathtala.  It is located in Meherpur district.

*On 23 June 1757, Sirajuddaula, the last Nawab of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa, was defeated by the British at Palashi's mango orchard.

*Mango wood can be used to make furniture and also as fuel.

*Mango is the best fruit.  Delicious to eat.

The History of Mango

Six and a half thousand years ago from today.  Maybe it's the Chittagong Hill Tracts, or Myanmar or some place in northern India.  For the first time, people put mango in their mouths.  Of course, that is not the civilized mango like today.  Absolutely wild mango.

With his mouth up to the palate absolutely ri-ri.  I mean, none of us saw it, just imagined it.  This is how it should be when you play the first scaly, born mango.

But gradually the value of mango began to increase among the people.  Mango is also mentioned during the origin of various religions in India.

There is an interesting story about mango in this Mahabharata.  Sita was abducted by Ravana and taken to Lanka.  Sita was fed fruit while in captivity.  Sita enjoys eating unnamed fruits.  From her share, Sita leaves some fruits for Rama, Lakshmana and Hanuman.  A few days later Hanuman went to Lanka in search of Sita.  Just appeared to the captive Sita.

Sita tells Hanuman with that fruit, these are for you, Rama and Lakshmana.  You eat.

Hanuman could not resist greed by eating one of those fruits.  Eat all the fruit alone.

Goes back to Sita.  Say, mother, I have committed a crime.  I ate the fruits alone without giving them to Ram and Lakshmana.  Now tell me what is the name of this fruit?  Where is it available?

Sita says, I am a prisoner here.  I can't say where there is what.  I don't even know the name of this fruit.  However, it may be found in the vicinity.  You can find out.

Hanuman goes out in search of fruit.

The fruit of so much taste, what's the name?  The mango orchard was found in search.  After eating a mango from the tree, Hanuman realized that this fruit tasted the same as the fruit given by Sita.  Hanuman climbs the mango tree and eats as much as he wants and throws the mango seeds here and there.  It is said that the mango tree in the Indian subcontinent was born from the mango seed thrown by Hanuman.😍😍
